Vandaag is het een feestdag in Nederland en in het Vlaamse deel van België. Het is namelijk St Nicolaas. De goedheilig man brengt alle kinderen cadeautjes in een hele grote jute zak samen met zijn hulpjes de "Zwarte Pieten". De Dutch Besties Girls hebben ook voor jullie weer een mooi cadeautje. Deze keer is onze Plony aan de beurt. En geloof het of niet Plony houdt van de roze. Het was ons nog niet opgevallen ...... (hihihi). Zij maakt prachtige roze kaarten in vintage stijl. Het is altijd weer een feestje om naar haar werk te kijken.

Today it is a very exiting day in the Netherlands and the Flemish part of Belgium. It is St Nicholas. This holyman brings all children presents in a very large bag along with his helpers " de  Zwarte Pieten ". The Dutch My Besties Girls also have for you a beautiful present. This time we present you Plony. And believe it or not Plony loves the pink. Something we didn't  noticed yet in her work........(hihihi). She makes wonderful pink cards in vintage style. It is always a party to see her work.

Ik wilde met de snowboard girl iets maken en dat is een cone geworden....om iets leuks in te doen als kadootje....

I wanted to make something with the snowboard girl en it became a cone to use as a little gift...

Zien jullie jezelf al snowboarden als je deze leuke roze meid ziet.....beetje sneeuw voor de kerst zou wel leuk zijn.

Don't you see yourself snowboarding when you watch this little pink girl???

A little bit of snow would be nice at christmas.

Het is niet moeilijk om nog snel zo'n leuk kadootje te maken en niets is leuker dan een zelfgemaakt kadootje toch?

It's not difficult to make such a sweet gift and nothing is more fun then a hand-made gift isn't it???

Op deze 4de dag van onze kerstadventspecial stel ik jullie graag voor aan onze Corrie. De oudste van het stel, maar zeker niet de minste, zij draagt nog een aardig steentje bij aan ons team en maakt prachtige kaarten. Zij is de moeder van Cindy en samen maken deze twee dames zeer regelmatig een mooie kaart.

On the 4th day of our Christmasadventspecial we show you our Corrie. The oldest of the bunch, but certainly not the least, she is still a nice contribution to our team and makes wonderful cards. She is the mother of Cindy and together make these two ladies very frequently a nice card.

Goedemorgen lieve Bestiesfans,

Good morning dear Bestiesfans,

Aan mij vandaag de eer om een creatie voor de adventkalender te laten zien. Sinds mei van dit jaar mag ik deel uitmaken van het Nederlandse Bestieteam en ik vind het leuk!!!!  De Besties zijn zo gaaf om te kleuren en het is heerlijk ontspannend. Mijn pols zit vast, dus voor mij is het helemaal een uitdaging om ze mooi in te kleuren. Ook de Besties uit de Winterwonderlandserie zijn zo leuk. Voor deze kaart heb ik er ook één uit deze serie uitgekozen IMAGE 833. Deze is ingekleurd met de copics. Meestal maken Cindy en ik de opdrachten samen, zo gezellig, we wonen in dezelfde flat, dus dat is makkelijk! 

Het papier is van My Minds Eye.  
Het bont op de muts heb ik gemaakt met funflock. 
Ik ben zelf dol op het maken van bloementoeven, de toef op deze kaart lijkt wel een beetje op een krans. 
De strik heb ik gemaakt met de Bowdawbra. 
De mallen en de stempels zijn van Joy!

Ik vind deze adventkalender zo'n leuk idee, zo kunnen jullie iedere dag een andere creatie bewonderen en iedereen een beetje leren kennen!

To me today the honour to show a creation for the advent calendar. Since May of this year I may be part of the Dutch Bestiesteam and I like it!!!!  The Besties are so cool to colors and it's very relaxing. My wrist is locked, so for me it's quite a challenge to make them beautiful coloring. Also the Besties from the Winter wonderland series are so much fun. For this card I have chosen one from this series IMAGE 833 I have colored it with the copics. Cindy and I usually make the commands together, so cozy, we live in the same flat building, so that's easy!

I  am fond of making flowers bunches, the bunch on this card looks like a bit like a Christmas Garland. 
The bow I made with the Bowdawbra. 
The dies and the stamps are of Joy!

I find this adventcalendar such a fun idea, so you can admire another creation every day and get to know everyone a little!

Corrie hartelijk dank voor je prachtige kaart en ik verheug me er al op om je tweede werkstuk te mogen laten zien. Ik weet al wat het is en ik vind het zo leuk en origineel. Dus dames houdt het blog elke dag in de gaten, want er komt nog veel meer moois aan. Morgen is het de beurt aan ....... ???? Op Sinterklaasdag heeft zij ook een echt Sinterklaascadeautje voor jullie.

Vandaag is onze Cindy aan de beurt en zij laat jullie een prachtige tutorial zien van een kerstversiering. Cindy is een van de Dt dames van het eerste uur en staat altijd voor alles en nog wat klaar om een handje te helpen. Kortom iemand waar je op kunt bouwen in goede, maar ook in slechte tijden. Buiten dat zij prachtige kaarten en werkstukken maakt, kan zij ook heel mooi inkleuren met stiften, haar werk is een lust voor het oog.

Today our Cindy is on turn and she shows you a wonderful tutorial of a Christmas decoration. Cindy is one of the Dt ladies of the first hour and she always is giving our team a helping hand  in good, but also in bad times. She makes beautiful cards and papercreations and her coloring with markers is amazing.

Nog een paar weken dan is het jaar weer voorbij. Wat gaat de tijd toch snel. Ik vind deze tijd van het jaar wel heel gezellig, vroeg donker, overal lichtjes en mooie versieringen. Vandaag mag ik jullie een dag van de adventkalender laten zien. Ik heb een kerstversiering gemaakt en ik zal hieronder proberen uit te leggen hoe ik deze heb gemaakt.  Allereerst het eindresultaat van het project:

Still a few weeks then the year is over again. What does time run fast. I find this time of year really cozy, dark early, everywhere lights and beautiful decorations. Today I show you a day of the advent calendar. I have made a Christmas decoration and I will try to explain how I've made it.  First of all, the end result of the project:

Maar hoe heb ik dit project nou gemaakt. Je hebt nodig: 

* een circle edgepunch van Martha Stewart

* een ronde stans, ik heb ook een ronde met een kartelrand gebruikt, maar dat hoeft natuurlijk 

   niet.

* 3 vellen cardstock van 30,5 x 30,5 cm

* tule;

* plaksteentjes;

* andere versiersels.

But how did I made this project. You will need:

* a circle from Martha Stewart edgepunch 
* a round stans, I also have a round with a cartel border, but not necessarily.
* 3 sheets of cardstock of 30,5 x 30,5 cm 
* tulle;
* rhinestones;
* other decorations.

WERKWIJZE:
WORKING METHOD:

stans uit het cardstock drie cirkels. Deze snijd je vervolgens doormidden.

 stans from the cardstock three circles and cut them in half parts.

Vervolgens ril je met de scorpal vanuit iedere punt naar het midden van de cirkel.

Then you ril from any point with the scorpal to the center of the circle.

En vouw er punten van.

And fold the lines

Dit doe je zes keer. Vervolgens plak je alle hoeken aan elkaar, zodat het weer een hele cirkel wordt. 

Vervolgens plak je met dubbelzijdig tape de tule naar het midden van de cirkel. 

Stans twee rondjes (in mijn voorbeeld het rondje met de kartelrand) en plak er een zowel aan de voor als de achterkant op de gevouwen cirkel. Je zult zien dat hij nu gelijk een stuk steviger is. 

De basis is klaar, je kunt hem nu verder gaan afwerken. Bovenin de gevouwen cirkel heb ik een gaatje gemaakt om het ophanglint doorheen te verwerken. Doe dit niet te dicht op de kant, er hangt best wat gewicht aan!  Je kunt hem nu verder af gaan werken. Ik hoop dat jullie iets aan deze uitleg hebben. Ik vond het zelf in ieder geval een heel leuk project om te maken!

You do this six times. Then you paste all angles together, so that  you get a cicle.
Then paste the tulle with double-sided tape to the center of the circle. Stans two rounds (in my example  I used a cartel edge) and paste one at the front and  one at the back on the folded circle.)
You will see that the circle is more firm now. The base is ready, you can start with the finishing.
 I have made a hole at the top of the folded circle for the hanging ribbon. Don't do this too close to the side, the circle have some weight!  You can go to finish your work now. I hope you understand this explanation.  I found it myself in any case a very fun project to make!

This cheerful Lady is our well known for her beautiful brocante, shabby chic and vintage cards and creations in soft tones and then especially the pink and lilac tones.

De maand december is begonnen en dat betekend dat wij van My Besties Dutch Girls Designs, jullie iedere dag gaan verrassen met een kerstkaart of kerstproject.

The month of december has started and that means that we of My Besties Dutch Girls Designs, are going to surprise you every day with a Christmas card or Christmas project.

En tatatata..... vandaag is het mijn beurt.
Ik heb deze kerstkaart gemaakt met Image 430 hoe schattig is zij...
Deze heb ik weer in mijn bekende softe kleuren gemaakt, gecombineerd met wat leuke houten elementen. Uiteraard heb ik het weer ingekleurd met PanPastel. Toch nog wel wat glitters op aangebracht, want zeg nou eerlijk, dat mag niet ontbreken op een kerstkaart.

And tatatata.. ... today it's my turn.I made this Christmas card with Image 430, how cute is it. ..This one I made of course in my well-known soft colors, combined with some nice wooden elements. Obviously I have  colored with PanPastel and some glitters on it, honest, that should not be missing on a Christmas card.

CHRISTMASADVENTCHALLENGE

Hallo lieve allemaal,

Vandaag is het dan eindelijk zover, onze lang verwachte Kerstadventspecial start van dag. Vanaf nu zal er iedere dag een special op ons blog staan. Onze eigen dames hebben allemaal 2 dingen voor jullie gemaakt, een kaart en ook een werkstuk, maar ook een groot aantal andere Nederlandse dames, die allemaal in de buitenlandse My Besties teams werken, hebben iets voor jullie gemaakt. Om de beurt zullen zij hun mooie werk aan jullie laten zien. Ook zijn er leuke extra prijzen te winnen. De ene keer kun je via ons emailadres digi's aanvragen. De andere keer kun je via de inlink meedoen met de verloting van een aantal leuke My Besties producten. Het is dus belangrijk, dat je elke dag even een kijkje moet komen nemen op het blog, want anders zou er zomaar een leuke prijs aan je neus voorbij kunnen gaan.

Verder kunnen jullie meedoen aan onze speciale kerstchallenge met als opdracht natuurlijk kerst/winter. Jullie krijgen de hele maand de tijd om mee te doen en je mag zelfs twee werkstukken inleveren. Goedemorgen allemaal,


Maandagmorgen en tijd voor de uitslag van de afgelopen challenge met als thema Winter. Wij kregen een groot aantal prachtige kaarten van onze Dt collegae uit de andere Dt teams binnen. Vandaar dat we hebben besloten om deze keer de prijzen een beetje te verdelen. Daarom hebben we 2 prijzen voor onze hobbydames en 2 voor de Dt dames. Wat ook opvalt is, dat er steeds meer kaarten in worden gezonden met 3D afbeeldingen. Hoe mooi ze ook zijn, deze kaarten vallen buiten de prijzen bij ons. In onze spelregels staat duidelijk, dat op de kaart of het werkstuk een stempel of digi moet staan, die door de deelnemer zelf is ingekleurd. Ook is het belangrijk dat alle DT dames achter hun naam DT vermelden, dat zij in een Dt team zitten. Dit om de challenge eerlijk te houden.


Good morning all, 

Monday morning and time for the results of the last challenge with the theme Winter. We got a large number of beautiful cards from our colleagues from other Dt teams. Hence we have decided to distribute the prices a bit this time. We have 2 prices for our hobby ladies and 2 for the Dt ladies. What also stands out is, that more and more cards are sent in with 3D images. How beautiful they are, these cards are excluded from the prices at our challenge. In our game rules you can read, that on the card or creation must be a stamp or digi, which is colored by the participant himself. It is also important that all DT ladies mention DT behind their name, so we know that they  are in a My Besties Dt team. This to keep the challenge fair.
